Course for ENEEP
Last week VR-1 reactor hosted a course for ENEEP (European Nuclear Experimental Educational Platform). ENEEP was established as an open platform for any European university or European research institute that are actively involved in experimental nuclear education, training and competence building. The ENEEP founding members are five institutes (STU, CTU, TU Wien, JSI, and BME). All partners are heavily involved in experimental nuclear education, training and competence building.
Course at the VR-1 reactor lasted one week and was attended by 10 students from variuos countries. The participants performed various experimental measurements and at the end of the course also tried the VR-1 reactor control under supervision of the reactor staff.
16th EERRI Research Reactor Group Fellowship Training Course
Reactor VR-1 participated in 16th EERRI Research Reactor Group Fellowship Training Course. This year's course was online. Participants of the course underwent online theoretical lectures and practical exercises focused on basics of radiation protection and dosimetry, thermohydraulics, neutron activation analysis and control of the reactor.
Training of future operators of the Dukovany nuclear power plant
VR-1 reactor hosted a course for future NPP operators. This course has been running regularly for many years and plays crucial part in NPP operator training.
